Many of our readers who read our post about Craigslist replacements asked to write a text about Tumblr alternatives. So here we go, it is not too much (or not at all) related to our main topic (one night stands and casual sex sites), but we always want to be useful for our readers.
As Tumblr prepares to prohibit adult content, many new options are emerging to fill the void. Now that illustrations and videos of: sexual acts, full frontal genitalia, and female presenting nipples cannot be posted on Tumblr, you may be looking for alternatives.
Below you will find a few new places to check out.
Your PC
While you can easily download your Tumblr content to your computer system, you won’t have the ability to receive any new content. This is a huge drawback for those leaving Tumblr due to the ban. As such, a few existing and new sources have surfaced.
Twiter is a haven for many types of content and the adult variety is included. You can check to see if your favorite blog is there by reviewing the spreadsheet on the Tumblr Exodus Lifeboat. There you will find over 1,000 Twitter accounts where former Tumblr blogs have landed.
There are quite the number of subreddits dedicated to adult content and its numerous areas of interests. If you want to know if the type of content you enjoy is here, just go to r/multihub to search through previously assembled lists.
Timbr
New to the scene, Timbr, was created in response to the news Tumblr would cease to host adult content. The site makes it easy for creators to transfer their blog to the site. Tumblr credentials or Tumblr blog names can be used to copy content from Tumblr to Timbr. This also makes it incredibly easy for followers to find previously liked blogs.
Pillowfort
This site is so new, it’s still in beta testing status. Its similarities to Tumblr have made it a favorite, but new sign ups have been halted due to the overwhelming demand. The site will need to scale up to meet the need of the many fleeing Tumblr users.
Cumblr
This site’s name is apt, as it wants to be the place you come for your fapping needs. The site has yet to go live, though it plans to launch in the near future. It purports to provide the option to upload your Tumblr blog, as long as you have removed it before Tumblr ceases to allow such content.
TumblrX
This site is also a dream in progress, but not quite reality. There is little ability to use it as of now but permanent use for the site will move to TumblrX where it should be functional.
Mojo Fire
Much like TumblrX, Mojo Fire is not live, though it too wants to be a place for the banned content on Tumblr. The Internet Wayback Machine A weird but aptly named site that will hold archived backups of Tumblr blogs, that would allow you to scroll through the offerings at your leisure. There are currently over 100,000 blogs archived with more being added.
